What is a Karill Puzzler?
Okay, Doug, I see you've gone and added another 'special' type of puzzle onto the site
You're not complaining about that, are you, Jeorge?
Oh no. No complaints. After all, you already added a 'Jeorge Puzzler!
That's right. The karill puzzler was invented by one of our members here at Tile Puzzler
Let me guess - his name is Karill?
That's right. Anyway, he thought we had enough of those six by six puzzlers, so he decided to make a seven by seven puzzler
Aha! That means it has 49 squares!
Well, that's pretty good figuring, but it's not quite right. You see, a Karill Puzzler has a hole missing right out of the middle of it. So there are only 48 squares!
And what about the pieces? What do they look like?
They are freestyle pieces. There are eight of them. Two of them have 9 squares, two of them have 7 squares, two of them have 5 squares, and two of them have 3 squares.
That adds up to 48?
That's right! So if you want to create a Karill Puzzler, just select FreeStyle, then create a 7x7 square with the center square missing, made up of pieces with 9, 9, 7, 7, 5, 5, 3, and 3 squares!
Thanks, Jeorge!
You're welcome!
